Review of a French design for a district water supply scheme based on a single surface water source and extensive distribution pipelines with the view of providing a number of individual borehole systems; and re-location of the already imported equipment for upgrading other existing surface water schemes in the Western Region of Ghana.

Water Supply Sector Rehabilitation Project
Pre-feasibility studies. Studies of the rehabilitation needs of 55 water supply systems in Ghana, proposals for rehabilitation work with costs and preparation of priority ranking based on economic and social factors; this work was done in joint venture with the Architectural and Engineering Services Corporation. 1999

Tema Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project
Feasibility studies, detailed design, tender documents and supervision of construction. Studies for design of rehabilitation and improvement works on the Tema Sewerage System and Drainage System, preparation of tender documents and supervision of the works. Three sewage pumping stations and the associated pumping mains, siphons and gravity sewers connecting them to a sub-marine outfall through a detention basin were to be rehabilitated and some of the major storm drains in the town were to be rehabilitated, realigned and lined while measures were to be taken to stop the pollution of lagoons in the town. The work also included the design of facultative stabilization ponds and aerated lagoons for the treatment of the sewage from West Tema as an alternative to the construction of a second submarine outfall. The sewerage improvement works were funded by the World Bank and constructed by Skanska Jensen International. 1998

Ghana Water Sector Rehabilitation Project for Southern Ghana
Planning, detailed design, tender documents and supervision of construction. Study of the rehabilitation needs of 20 public water supply systems in four regions in Southern Ghana, and planning, design, tender documentation and supervision of recommended and approved rehabilitation works. This work which was started in October, 1991 was undertaken in joint venture with an Austrian firm Posch & Partners under the auspices of the World Bank.
